Summerland Legion Mourns the Passing of

Dominion Past President Steve Dunsdon

September 20, 2011 – (Summerland) Royal Canadian Legion Branch 22 Summerland members are mourning the passing of Past Dominion President Steve Dunsdon

Comrade Dunsdon was a World War II veteran. He was a long time Legion member and served as Dominion President from 1984 to 1986. 

He was the first President of Branch 22 in 1960-61 when the Legion formally chartered nationally as the “Royal Canadian Legion”. Comrade Dunsdon served in numerous positions at a Zone and Pacific Command level before being elected as Domion President for all Legions in Canada.

His wartime service saw him deployed as a motorcycle dispatch rider in the European Theatre with the Canadiam Army.
